For more than a decade, Navonne Morgan has been a compassionate, steady voice for children in need. Her CASA journey began in 2014 with Goochland CASA, where she quickly became known for her dedication and warmth. After taking a brief break toward the end of the COVID‑19 pandemic, Navonne returned to advocacy in 2024 with Goochland/Powhatan CASA, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a heart fully committed to service.

Throughout her years as an Advocate, Navonne has supported several children and families, each case leaving a meaningful impression. She speaks often of how each child has touched her life in a unique way. Her advocacy is not simply a role—it's a calling she carries with sincerity and purpose.

Outside of CASA, Navonne’s life is joyfully full. As a wife and mother of five, she cherishes time with her family and carves out space for rest, reflection, and caring for others. A lifelong dancer raised in the Bronx; she trained classically as a child and continues to express her passion today as a praise dancer in her church.

Navonne also brings a keen analytical mind to her professional work as an auditor for government healthcare programs. Her day job demands precision and attention to detail, while her CASA work allows her to connect with children and families on a deep personal level, a balance she embraces wholeheartedly.

Among her many meaningful moments as an Advocate, one memory stands out above the rest. After representing a teenage girl who eventually aged out of the CASA program, their bond continued to deepen over the years. That young woman now considers Navonne as “like a mom”, even asking Navonne to stand as the mother of the bride at her wedding. For Navonne, that moment reflected everything CASA can be; connection, trust, and lifelong impact.

Navonne’s advice to those considering the CASA role is simple yet powerful: you don’t need to come in knowing everything. “You just need a heart to serve,” she says. “Be willing to listen, be willing to show up. Your presence alone can change a child’s life.”

For Navonne, one of the clearest reminders of CASA’s lasting influence came through that same young woman’s continued relationship with her. The fact that their bond remained long after the case closed reaffirmed what Navonne believes deeply: CASA isn’t just advocacy in the moment, it’s being a consistent, caring presence when a child needs it most.

Navonne Morgan embodies the spirit of CASA: dedicated, compassionate, and wholeheartedly committed to making a difference. We are grateful to celebrate her and the lasting impact she brings to the children and families she serves.
